Day 1

Duration: 3 hrs 45 mins (152.9 km)
On arrival at Bagdogra Airport, our representative will welcome you and transfer you to Jaigaon, the last border town of Bharat, West Bengal.
After crossing the border, you will walk to the Bhutan Immigration office for entry formalities.
Check in at the pre-booked hotel for an overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
If time permits, you can explore the evening market and visit Zangto pelri.
Dinner and overnight stay in phuentsholing.
NOTE : The departure from the pick-up location is scheduled for approximately 1:00 PM, either from the airport or a nearby location

Day 2

Duration: 3 hrs 46 mins (145.6 km)
After breakfast, meet with your Bhutanese guide at the hotel for a briefing and assistance with visa/permit formalities.
After obtaining your permit (approx. 30 mins), explore Phuentsholing city, then proceed towards Thimphu.
En route, visit Kharbandi Monastery and enjoy scenic views of Gedu town, Dam Viewpoint, and the waterfall near Chuzom.
Arrive in Thimphu, check into the hotel, and relax.

Nightlife in Thimphu: If one wishes to experience nightlife in Bhutan, Thimphu is the best place to be. This are few places to visit: Mojo park, space 34. Where you can unwind with live music, dance, and mingle with fellow members and locals.

Day 3

Visit Simtokha Dzong, the first Dzong built by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1631, with historical significance.
Drive to Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan.
Stop at Dochula Pass (3,050m) for stunning panoramic views of the Himalayan range.
Visit Punakha Dzong, a 17th-century fortress, followed by the Suspension Bridge, Nunnery, and Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten.
On the return journey, visit Wangdi Dzong and Wangdi Market before heading back to Thimphu for an overnight stay.

Day 4

Sightseeing in Thimphu:
Memorial Chorten: A sacred stupa built in memory of Jigme Dorji, Bhutan’s third king.
" Buddha Point (Buddha Dordenma): A giant statue of Buddha offering a panoramic view of the city.
" Mini Zoo: Visit to see Bhutan's national animal, the Takin.
" Sangaygang Viewpoint: A scenic viewpoint overlooking Thimphu, especially beautiful on clear days.
" Handicraft Emporium and Paper Factory: Explore traditional Bhutanese crafts and handmade paper.
" Simply Bhutan: An interactive museum showcasing traditional Bhutanese life.
" Folk Heritage Museum and National Library: Experience Bhutanese rural life and view ancient Buddhist texts.
" After sightseeing, drive to Paro (1 hr 15 min), check into your hotel, and relax for the night.

Day 5

After breakfast, embark on a 4-5 hour trekking excursion to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), one of Bhutan’s most iconic landmarks.
This monastery, perched dramatically on a cliffside, offers breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere, making it a must-visit for those exploring the region.
If time permits, consider visiting additional attractions in Paro, including the historic Paro Fortress, Paro Dzong, and Rimpung Dzong, all rich in cultural and architectural significance Return to Paro for an overnight stay.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast to start your day. Visit the Paro Airport Viewpoint, known for its challenging location and breathtaking scenery.
Paro International Airport, Bhutan's only international airport, is located 6 km from Paro in a deep valley along the Paro Chhu River.The airport is famous for its difficult approach, with only about 50 certified pilots worldwide able to land due to the surrounding 18,000-foot mountains.. Enjoy the stunning landscapes as you travel and cross Phuentsholing into India.
Arrivel in Siliguri by evening and check in to your hotel.
Relax and unwind for the night.

Day 7

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and self transfer to Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station for your onward journey.( you can book the flight whenever the time suits you

  • Respect Local Customs & Monasteries * Always walk clockwise around stupas & prayer wheels. * Remove shoes & hats before entering monasteries and dzongs. * Maintain silence inside religious sites.
  • Follow Bhutan’s Dress Code in Dzongs & Monasteries * Wear full-sleeved shirts, long pants, and closed shoes. * Avoid shorts, sleeveless tops, and hats inside religious places.
  • Carry Bhutanese Ngultrum (BTN) or Indian Rupees (₹) * Indian ₹500 and ₹2000 notes are not accepted; carry ₹100 denominations.
  • Respect Local Laws on Photography * Ask before taking pictures of locals, monks, or military zones. * Photography inside temples is strictly prohibited.
  • Pack for Changing Weather * Layered clothing is best since temperatures vary across locations.
  • Comfortable trekking shoes for Tiger’s Nest hike.
  • Try Local Bhutanese Cuisine - Must-try: Ema Datshi (spicy cheese & chili dish), Suja (butter tea), Red Rice.
  • Keep Your Entry Permit & Passport Handy * You will need your permit for check-posts when traveling between cities.

  • No Public Displays of Affection (PDA) * Holding hands is okay, but kissing or hugging in public is considered disrespectful.
  • Do Not Point at Religious Objects or People - Use an open palm instead of pointing fingers.
  • Avoid Disrespecting the Royal Family - Criticizing Bhutan’s King or Government is strictly discouraged.
  • Don’t Smoke in Public Places - Bhutan has strict anti-smoking laws. Carry import permits if bringing cigarettes.
  • Do Not Litter - Bhutan takes cleanliness seriously. Use designated bins.
  • Avoid Buying Antique Religious Artifacts - Taking antique religious items out of Bhutan is illegal.
  • No Outside Drones Allowed - Flying drones requires special permits from the Bhutanese government.

These Terms & Conditions outline the agreement between (‘You’ or ‘The Customer’) and Travelxpeditions Private limited (‘We’ , ‘The Company’ or ‘Us’). By booking any trip or service through Travelxpeditions Private limited, you acknowledge that you have read and understood and agreed to be legally bound by these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

TERMS & CONDITIONS PAYMENT AND BOOKING TERMS:
To confirm your booking with Travelxpeditions Private limited, a non-refundable booking amount is required at the time of reservation. All packages are subject to change based on real-time availability and pricing at the time of final payment. Any updates related to your package, such as changes in hotels, airlines, or itinerary, will be provided as soon as possible.

The customers are required to make a full payment within the specified time frames before the date of departure. Nonpayment of the full amount by the due date may lead to cancellation of your booking or associated services by Travelxpeditions Private limited.

Cancellation Policy

In case of any cancellations made from the customer’s end, the booking amount of the package stands non-refundable.
(As all the bookings related to transportation, accommodations, and other services are made in advance, costing more than the booking amount at times)
If the cancellation is from Travelxpeditions Private limited end, 100% of the package amount is refundable. In case of rescheduling or cancellations with prior notice, please follow these timelines for the communication:

  • 15 Days priorfor Weekend trips/Treks
  • 30 Days priorfor Domestic trips
  • 45 Days priorforInternationaltrips

Free rescheduling is available. If cancelled, the amount will be refunded as a credit note valid for 1 years.

In case of cancellations due to government restrictions, natural calamities, protests or any unforeseen circumstances, the cancellations orits alternatives will be as follows:

  • You can shift to any other scheduled departure on the same weekend.
  • You can shift to a later date.
  • You can get 100% of the booking amount as a credit note (valid for 1 years for any fixed departure).
